PRESS RELEASE 08.02.2018
Loewe Verlag, Germany’s leading publisher of children’s books, has acquired the world rights to publish Blueberry & Pie’s “Message in a Bottle” Personalise-at-Home Edition in German language.
The German edition of “Message in a Bottle”, Die Flaschenpost is due to be released in spring 2019.
“Message in a Bottle”, by author Tom Percival and illustrator Tuire Siiriainen, is the first publication from the Luxembourgish children’s book publisher Blueberry & Pie, represented by Tuire Siiriainen, Managing Director. This also marks the company’s first foreign rights deal.
“Message in a Bottle” was originally published online as a personalised print-on-demand version, which has been sold in 6 different languages to over 20 countries in the world.
“Message in a Bottle” tells the story of Kiki, a brave little bird who finds a lost message inside a bottle that has been washed up onto the shore. The bottle has a label with a child’s name and address on it. Kiki decides to deliver the bottle to its rightful owner, no matter what! But, with such a long and hazardous journey, will she be able to find her way to the child?
The Personalise-at-Home Edition is designed to be completed by hand: writing the child’s name and address on the bottle label, as well as the very message that will be revealed at the end of the story.
Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or anyone who wants to surprise a child with loving, surprising or funny words, will find “Message in a Bottle” makes the perfect gift.
